Today is going to be a long, long day

Wednesday has started out as a B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L day!! The sun is shining, there are gorgeous clouds scattered around the sky and I would guess that the birds are chirping (I am in my office so I cannot be 100% on that one).

Last night I stayed up way later than normal. A typical night would be me and Ken in bed by 10:00 (yes, we are old-we know!). Last night it was 10:48 by the time I actually crawled under the covers! The amazing thing-I had a hard time falling asleep!?! I guess that if you stay busy and dont sit down on the couch, you can get much more accomplished! I really feel like I got a TON done. I made dinner, did the dishes, ran the dishwasher, cleaned the house (just for you Rene ;-) ), unloaded the dishwasher, made a cake, cooked a turkey so it was ready for tonight, caught up on some emails, Ken and I taught Jasper how to roll over and finally showered and climbed into bed-WHEH! While I was on my rampage, Ken was on one of his own. He finished building some shelves for our closet...yipee...and then had to primer all of them out in his shop. We were both thoroughly thrashed by the end of the night! Jasper did what he does best-he ran crazily around the backyard, worked on his new tricks, took his toys out of his basket as I put them away and then decided it was all too much for him and headed to his bed at about 9! Apparently he was not waiting for us! (He did make a return a little later to run around some more!)

Today I have work from 8-5 and am babysitting from 5:30-8:30. It makes for a long day, but you have got to do what you have got to do. I am not too thrilled about babysitting tonight, only from the standpoint that Rene is coming in this afternoon. That means Ken gets to go home and enjoy his mom's company and I will spend the evening with my favorite 2 year old! I am sure those will be 3 very long hours.

Wishing you a wonderful (shorter than mine) Wednesday!!

  1. This makes my day:-)) Miss you a lot. Please give everyone a hug from me too! 2 year olds can have a special stress release. After working and going directly to bed doesn't work for me either. I need about 10 /15 minutes of down time. Still planning next weekend! love ya! bernice
