Cordless :-/

So, yes, I know I have been a terrible blogger. I opened this window about 6 times last week and somehow never actually wrote anything.

Last week was just busy! Trying to get everything together to change offices is quite the job in itself. I am planning on spending some time at the new office this week trying to get things situated to start on the first of next month. Whew....I am super excited thought, I think this is going to be good.

So, this weekend...I guess that is where the excitement begins.

Saturday I made oven-baked pancakes for breakfast and they turned out great. They are hit or miss, I'll tell ya! Afterwards, I headed out to meet a leader from church to discuss some drama that came up in he group. It was nice to be able to take some of the stress off of her. Post-meeting, Ken and I headed out to run some errands. I love when I get to hang out with him on the weekend! He is my favorite :-) We met up with Errin at Sam's Club-always a good time and then the 2 of us girls visited the new Sunflower Market that just opened by the house. Free re-usable bags for both of us!!

Upon returning home, Ken and I set out for a road bike ride. It was an easy ride for him-which means a moderate ride for me. It felt awesome to be out and about and the weather was perfect. After our ride, Ken did some work on his bike (cross-bike) and I painted the first coat in our bathroom. Fun times for all ;-) Because Errin was out with some friends and Colin was at work, Ken and I had a romantic (ok, maybe not) dinner together before watching some Survivor-aka falling asleep on the couch....and hit the sack.

Sunday we did the 2 service thing at church and hurried home for some lunch. We then went to the Louisville Rec Center in anticipation of Ken and Colin's race. It was chilly out and a bit breezy, but nothing too scary. The guys raced and I handed water bottles. I was a little nervous at first, but I think I got better as the race went along. It was awesome because I could see Ken for about 90% of the race! Super cool!! Ken took 2nd! He is so good on anything with 2 wheels and I just love watching him.

When we got home, he hit the shower and I made him some hot tea-spandex is not the warmest of attire! He took Jaspy to the park to play while I dove back in to the bathroom painting. I decided that I would not go to bed until it was D.O.N.E.! Somewhere in the middle of the second coat, it was dinnertime. Seeing as I wasn't starving, I painted through dinner. Rebel, huh? I caught up on some dinner after I got the second coat done, but wait....that is not the end! Nope, there is a little room for the toilet...with lots of trim! After i ate, I washed the walls and while those were drying, worked on unloading the dishwasher. I painted the first coat and while that was drying-did the dishes....I am QUEEN of multi-tasking! At 9:22 Ken hopped into the bed at called it a night (he was pretty thrashed from the race....as was seen clearly all over his face and demeanor). I kissed him goodnight and headed in to finish the second coat. At 10:15 I was done! Yippee!! I showered and happily crawled into bed....feeling very accomplished! Don't worry, I didn't wake Ken up when I got in bed....he slept right through that one. :-) He looked to cute that I just wanted to kiss him....but so tired that I didn't want to wake him up. That cyclocross stuff is tough!

Alright, back to work!
