Not enough hours!

Welcome back to the craziness that is my life. Apparently I am not too great at posting on weekends. That is probably because 1) Those are my days to get stuff done at home 2) I get to spend time with Ken and Jasper and 3) If you saw the weather we had-you would understand why I was NOT on the computer.

First off...here are some pics:

Snow storm last week...

My short-ish hair...

Friday afternoon was awesome. I went to my acupuncture appointment, which was great as always. I have realized, though, that I am terrible at relaxing. I am laying on the bed with nothing to do but listen to the soothing music and yet an inner debate begins within my mind. First, a list of all the things I need to do. Then a little freaking out about how there is NO WAY I am going to get it done in the time that I have to do it. Then I realized I need to at least TRY to relax, so I do-for like 35 seconds and the cycle repeats. Hmmm...suggestions?

After acupuncture, Ken and I enjoyed some (cheater) pizza before heading out to our wine tasting. It was super fun and especially nice to hang out with people our age. Who knew?! We tried some white wines and red wines and ate some delicious cheeses with strange names...and the chocolate-YUM!!

Saturday was an EPIC day of....CLEANING. Ken somehow poured himself out of bed at like 5 to hit up the powder in Vail-I barely remember kissing him-Jasper on the other hand heard him get up and took it upon himself to take his place in the bed. Total snuggle bunny. We managed to get up by 7:10 and head downstairs for breakfast. At 7:30 the cleaning frenzy began. We are talking dusting, vacuuming, windexing, cleaning out the basement and then cleaning the basement carpets. Needless to say, when Ken returned from his (AMAZING) day of skiing, I was completely exhausted. He was sweet and took Jasper out for a run (he rode his skateboard) while I put together some dinner (tacos and black beans). I honestly do not remember what we did after dinner. I would imagine we crashed on the couch.

This is Jasper trying to tell me to stop cleaning, that it was nap time:

And this is what happens when I put all of Jasper's toys away-he thinks it is FUNNY to take them all back out:

Sunday I taught our High School class at church. Everyone kept asking if I was nervous-but alas, I was not. That was a strange new feeling-not being nervous for public speaking?!?! It was super fun and the kids did such a fantastic job with their skits! Made.My.Day. Ken and I ate a quick lunch OUTSIDE...HELLO SPRING!!! I went for an hour long bike ride-felt soooo good while Ken washed the love of his life....no not Jasper....his car ;-) When I got home, Ken headed out for a 2 hour ride and Jasper and I got to go for a 20 minute jog-with some fetching involved. There is a drainage stream down one of the open spaces and Jasper took advantage of the sunshine and jumped right in! Splish Splash for sure! When we got home, I sprayed Jasper off with the hose. He was not a fan of that-he much prefers the nice warm bath tub. He proceeded to run around the house in a semi-damp state until I caught him and used my blow dryer on him. Like always, he tried to attack it-awesome! I spent about an hour rearranging things in the basement and cleaning out the extra room down there. That is the last carpet that needs cleaning!

When Ken got back from his ride, he and I ventured to Home Depot. We bought all of the makings for SHELVES. Ken is building me shelves to go in the cubby holes next to our T.V. I cannot wait-it is going to be AWESOME!!!! A.W.E.S.O.M.E!!!! You should have seen my car though-we had a HUGE sheet of HEAVY wood on top of it-Ken thought we may actually come off the ground had we driven any faster. But in the end, we made it home in one piece. I got everything ready for pork chops, scalloped potatoes and asparagus and while things were cooking and Ken was grilling, I headed to the grocery for the week. I love grocery shopping when there are not many people out. Apparently Sunday evenings fall into that category. When I got home we sat down to an amazingly delicious dinner and some celebrity apprentice. Good day!!

This morning means work. I love what I do, but I can tell it is going to be much harder in the summer. Every time I look out the window, I just want to go outside. It is tempting me...like a fine wine or a giant bowl of ice cream (6 days until Easter and Ken and I can indulge in some cookies and cream!).

On a side note, I am in love with Greek yogurt right now. It kind of gives me a Pinkberry fix (without having to buy a plane ticket to LA). So, being the frugal one that I am, I used a coupon last night to try Yoplait's version. BLECH!! I NEVER throw food away. I can always manage to finish something, regardless if I like it or not. But REALLY-I couldn't even get halfway through this....the thought makes me a little sick. For the best Greek yogurt-try Oikos. It is dreadfully expensive-so I only but it when it is on sale and if I have a coupon-but it is truly delicious! My friend Heather is doing a giveaway on her blog : http://heathersdish.com/ for some awesome Oikos...good luck!!

Tonight I am hoping to get a nice jog in with Jasper and maybe a little bit of yoga. Ken is riding his bike home....lucky duck!

Have a nice Monday!

Robert got home this evening :) Going to have a busy week packing and Good Friday service (I'm
singing with a group) and an early service on Easter, a brunch and then regular service and friends over for Easter dinner and then leaving on Monday afternoon. Lots to do, and hopefully start a small decorating project for the Lodge Pole Room.
